Terri Stewart, Executive Director, Breathe America, Albuquerque
Originally from Boston, Terri earned her bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Fitchburg State University (Fitchburg, MA) and her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Simmons College (Boston, MS). Terri moved to New Mexico after gaining rich experience working for the largest health maintenance organization in Massachusetts—involved heavily with clinical laboratories, oncology, and clinical research.
Implementing new medical programs and building upon the success of existing ones are her professional specialty! She was the Founding Executive Director of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance, which is a statewide collaborative clinical trials network which integrated the major healthcare systems in the state of New Mexico, so that they could work together to improve care for cancer patients in the state.
When she’s not in the BreatheAmerica offices, you will probably find Terri on the tennis courts. She loves being active—whether it’s tennis, hiking, or biking—as well as taking it slow with a good book or a great recipe in the kitchen. The youngest of eleven children, Terri has always had a big heart for family. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have two adult children.
