Megan Bloom, NP
Megan Bloom is an experienced Nurse Practitioner who recently joined the BreatheAmerica Albuquerque office with a background in primary care and clinical experience in pulmonology, sleeps medicine, and cardiothoracic surgery.Megan comes from a family that loves to help others, with her father and brother working as dentists, her mother as a kindergarten teacher, and a younger sister who is a photographer. In order to see that people get the care they need, she has devoted herself to acquiring new skills and growing professionally in her career to helping her patients improve their overall health beyond the clinic.
In addition to being a lifelong learner, Megan loves the outdoors, including snowboarding, hiking, rafting, traveling, and going to concerts. When you see her in the office, you’ll have to ask her where her latest adventure took her!
Megan received her Master of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University in 2013, following her BS in Nursing and BS in Human Nutrition and Foods from the same university. She is Chemotherapy Administration certified and has a history working in collaboration with surgeons to provide care prior to and after open heart and thoracic surgeries.
Also a community volunteer, Megan previously dedicated her time at the local animal shelter and health fairs held while at her previous hospital position. We look forward to seeing how she improves her new community here in Albuquerque through her knowledge and passion for the healthcare field.
Terri Stewart, Executive Director, Breathe America, Albuquerque
Originally from Boston, Terri earned her bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from Fitchburg State University (Fitchburg, MA) and her master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Simmons College (Boston, MS). Terri moved to New Mexico after gaining rich experience working for the largest health maintenance organization in Massachusetts—involved heavily with clinical laboratories, oncology, and clinical research.Implementing new medical programs and building upon the success of existing ones are her professional specialty! She was the Founding Executive Director of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance, which is a statewide collaborative clinical trials network which integrated the major healthcare systems in the state of New Mexico so that they could work together to improve care for cancer patients in the state.
When she’s not in the BreatheAmerica offices, you will probably find Terri on the tennis courts. She loves being active—whether it’s tennis, hiking, or biking—as well as taking it slow with a good book or a great recipe in the kitchen. The youngest of eleven children, Terri has always had a big heart for family. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have two adult children.
Clorinda has been Dr. Gerencer’s surgery scheduler for nearly 5 years and comes to Breathe America after having spent several years scheduling surgeries for various Surgical Specialties at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Clorinda’s friendly but professional demeanor instills confidence while maintaining the human element throughout the surgical scheduling process.
